Biggest organ in Saxony

We saw it today – the biggest organ in Sachsen – at Nikolaikirche. This church is where the whole peace movement began that brought down the GDR. The Monday night peace demonstrations began with the peace prayers at Nikolaikirche. The demonstrations grew to such numbers that in the end the East German government could no longer stem the tide and they opened the wall.

Tonight after dinner, where a bunch of Germans insinuated themselves at our table and then a woman drank all my bottled water by mistake and laughed about it (but didn’t replace it), we stopped in Nikolaikirche and heard the massive pipe organ. Here’s a little video. Unfortunately in the middle of it, someone sitting next to me strategically launched an SBD during a low note…
